About This Game For the first time ever, the series that changed console gaming forever comes to PC with six blockbuster games in one epic experience, delivered over time and available for individual purchase. Honoring the iconic hero and his epic story, The Master Chief Collection offers players their own exciting journey through the Halo saga. Starting with the incredible bravery of Noble Six in Halo: Reach and ending with the rise of a new enemy in Halo 4, the games will release in order of the fictional story.
Each game released into the collection also adds new multiplayer maps, modes and game types, building a unified multiplayer suite that expands over time. When finished, The Master Chief Collection will have the most diverse and expansive Halo multiplayer experience to date, with more than multiplayer maps including the original Halo Combat Evolved maps and Spartan Ops maps. Not great, but I can get things done when needed.
But damn, I'm just sucking in this Beta so far. Anyway, here are some preliminary thoughts I wasn't sure how those would flow within the scope of a Halo game, but so far I'm really liking them. Once you burn off your charge, it doesn't refill for quite some time. It is a great give and take ability. Yes you are invisible, but your radar also gets all scrambled, so you have to choose when to use it wisely.
Hit it, and you lift off. The thing is, it is quite loud.
So, while you are elevating above the fight, everyone can hear you take off, and you are often picked off if you try and fly to long. It works well, when you use it, but I often find myself using it at the wrong time, and then I get quickly taken out when I emerge from it.
This will be an interesting one to see how it gets used and evolves. They have much more power now, and the blast radius seems huge. Simple as that. Not sure yet if this is really a good or bad thing yet, it's just different. I've always been more of an Objective player rather than just Slayer. This mode is great. It is like capture the flag, but there are multiple flags scattered around the map. You grab them, and then at scheduled times in the match, if you have them in your "zone" , they get scored. First to 10 scores wins.
Flags can be removed from the zones as well, so you have to capture, but also stand guard. Very fun. Every time someone dies, a skull pops out of their body.
You grab the skulls, and then score them at certain zones that move randomly around the map. I was having trouble actually getting the skulls to pick up. You are supposed to just walk over them and they get auto picked up, but it wasn't working very well for me.
You can still just do a normal single beat-down and assassinate someone from behind. But, if you hold the melee button down, you launch into this extra assassination animation. Problem is, I keep activating this even when I don't mean to.
They need to enlarge the amount of time needed to hold the button to activate this. Right now only Sword Base and Powerhouse are available. I'm liking them. Sword Base is a little different, and has almost too many levels. Maybe I just need to learn it more, but I can't figure out where I'm going many times because there are so many flights of stairs and ramps and things.
It has the sort of familiar feel of Halo, but enough things are different that it is taking some time to get used to them. And like I said before, I really need to work at this game more, because I'm just terrible right now. If the game is objective based, I'm OK. But if it is anything Slayer related, I can't seem to ever kill anyone. Oh well, I'll give it time. Once more of my friends get it, and I can party up with them, I quickly stop worrying about how good I am, and just go back to having fun.
Retrieved February 14, Halo will from now on only be Campaign and Firefight for me. The number of different grenade types has also been reduced from that of Halo 3 , and incendiary grenades and spike grenades did not return. March 25, Halo 3 Original Soundtrack Media notes. Retrieved March 18, The term "Halo" refers to the Halo Array : a group of immense, habitable, ring-shaped superweapons that were created by the Forerunners to destroy the Flood, but which the Covenant mistake for religious artifacts that, if activated, would transport them on a Great Journey to meet the Forerunners.
And fun is something that I seem to have a lot of with Halo. The first one is just a funny moment I had with the Hammer and the Elite's new "Evade" maneuver in a game of Covie Slayer. The second one is a longer one of me kicking ass in a game of Stockpile. I kill the same guy twice with the rockets, and then rack up a bunch of points and get us back in the lead. We eventually won. It was a fun match.

Here are the instructions right from Bungie StruckANerve macrumors Dec 31, 0 Rio Rancho, NM. I have been very impressed with what I've seen of this game so far.
